Chico State is excited to announce a new partnership with Glenn 2 Greatness, aimed at enhancing educational opportunities for high school students in Glenn County. Through this partnership, eligible high school students can enroll in CSU Chico's Intro to Sociology course, a hybrid class that combines live instruction with online conferencing. This setup allows students to take part in college-level coursework without leaving their high school classroom, making higher education more accessible to those within the rural landscape of Northern California.
The High School Scholars Program is designed to provide a stimulating educational experience by enabling high school students to take college-level courses. Under this program, students can earn up to six college credits, setting a strong foundation for their future academic pursuits. By allowing qualified students to remotely participate in higher education without leaving their high school classroom, it eliminates barriers such as access to technology and transportation. Monetary support is available to Hispanic/Latinx and/or low-income students under a Department of Education, Title V, HLI grant procured by Ryan Patten and Patrick Johnson.
Students interested in the program can apply at www.csuchico.edu/admissions/resources/pre-college-students or contact Sabrina Marquez at 530-828-4793 for more information. The program seeks to support motivated and ambitious students who are eager to challenge themselves academically.

The Glenn2Greatness network would like to extend our gratitude to community builders around the globe on World Day of Social Justice. Peace be with you on this day. May you find joy and inspiration for the amazing work you do from the words of Nobel Peace Prize Winner, Mother Teresa.
"People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered; Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; Be kind anyway. If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies; Succeed anyway. If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; Be honest and frank anyway. What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight; Build anyway. If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; Be happy anyway. The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; Do good anyway. Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; Give the world the best you've got anyway."
